Motherwell duo get international cap call

Motherwell defenders Declan Gallagher and Stephen O'Donnell have been called up for Stevie Clark's Scotland squad for a Nations League double-header next month.

The competition gets underway on Friday, September 4, with a clash against Israel at Hampden, and Scotland head to the Czech Republic on Monday, September 7.

Scotland's match against Israel will act as a dress-rehearsal for the delayed European Championships play-off in October.

It's a reward for club captain Gallagher's performances for Motherwell while O'Donnell, who has been a mainstay of Clarke's squad, having played under him at Kilmarnock, joined the Fir Park club recently.

Gallagher has been capped twice for his country, while O'Donnell has 11.
