Motherwell duo agree new two-year contract extensions

Motherwell have announced that youngsters Dean Cornelius and David Devine have penned new two-year deals.

Both academy graduates were out of contract this summer but they've committed their futures to the Steelmen until 2023.

Cornelius made his senior debut for Motherwell against Livingston in 2019 and the 20 year-old is a versatile player that is comfortable playing in both midfield and defence.

Centre-back Devine has been involved in a number of first-team squads next season and the Wishaw man will be expected to push for a starting berth next season.

'Well boss Graham Alexander told the club's website : “We hope both boys take this opportunity to push hard towards getting in our first team.

"They’re both talented and motivated lads and it’s a big year for them.

“They’re at an age where they have to be competing with the senior pros and I believe they have the right mentality to do that.

“We look forward to helping them with this challenge.”
