Motherwell have completed the signing of Norwegian defender Sondre Solholm Johansen.
The 26-year-old has joined the club on a three-year deal, subject to a work permit.
Fir Park boss Graham Alexander revealed on Saturday after their 1-0 win over Dundee that the deal was all but done and now the club have completed his signing from Mjøndalen after he completed a medical yesterday.
Alexander told the club website: "We’re delighted to bring Sondre in and see how his qualities help us improve.
"We’ve watched a lot of him and been impressed with his defensive attributes, plus his technical ability is an added bonus.
"He’s shown a great willingness to come here and we know he will enjoy his time at the club."
Sondre Solholm Johansen joined Mjondalen from Stormsgodset in 2017 and he's been a regular this season.
The club added that a governing body endorsement towards a work permit was granted last Thursday.
It is hoped he will be available to play in Motherwell's next league match on September 11 against Aberdeen.
The club's chief executive Alan Burrows revealed the Steelmen beat a number of clubs in his homeland to his signature.
He posted on Twitter: "Delighted Sondre is finally at Motherwell - we worked very hard to get him for quite some time.
"He had numerous very attractive options back home, but wanted to come to Scotland. I hope he has a hugely successful time in claret and amber."
