Motherwell clash at St Mirren is OFF after more Covid chaos in Paisley

Motherwell's Premiership clash at St Mirren is OFF this afternoon after the Paisley side reported "a number" of positive coronavirus test results.

The Buddies have informed the Scottish Professional Football League that they can't fulfill the fixture.

As a result of their positive tests amongst the playing and coaching staff, St Mirren have only 12 registered fit players, including four goalkeepers, available for the game.

Motherwell said in a statement that they are awaiting guidance from the league.

It's the second game in a row that Motherwell have been unable to play, after their fixture at Kilmarnock was called off a fortnight ago.

Those who have bought a ticket for the game via PPV will be refunded by St Mirren shortly.
