Motherwell break season ticket record

Motherwell have broken their record number of season ticket holders as fans return to Fir Park.

The Premiership club's total sits at 5226, well ahead of their previous record, and with a further increase expected before their next home game against Aberdeen on September 11.

Motherwell report that a total of 4784 supporters bought season tickets for the 2021-22 season, with the previous record at 4488.

Of that number, 3732 carried their tickets over from the 2020-21 season, with 1052 buying new ones.

The club's Well In scheme has also boosted that number, with staff processing applications continually, with a 1000 target to be distributed for free ahead of next weekend's clash.

The club are keen to encourage those who have bought a season ticket to use it whenever possible, and a limited capacity section has been put in place in the north and south ends of the Phil O'Donnell stand ahead of the Aberdeen game, for supporters who feel they need more distance. A form can be filled in for this on the club website.
