Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson hopes the Scottish Government's five-tier system gives hope that fans can return to games soon.
Lanarkshire is in level three of the coronavirus restrictions system, but other areas in Scotland are doing better, and Robinson hopes they light the way for supporters eventually getting back in.
He said: "I think the new tier system at least gives people a little bit of hope - there’s some people in Tier 1, like Inverness and Ross County, so I’d love to see fans back there as soon as possible.
“It does give us hope that if you do get into those tiers then you can get fans back, but I see normal life going on in lots of other settings, and obviously some that aren’t, but I feel that we’ve got an environment that if you have a 12,000-seater outdoor stadium, we can definitely accommodate all our season ticket-holders very, very safely.
“Aberdeen, in level 2, they’ll be hoping they get fans in at trial events sooner rather than later, and they can accommodate five or six thousand.
"Rangers and Celtic can eventually can maybe get twenty-odd thousand in with the size of their stadium, so there’s a little bit of hope, and the people need hope, in strange times.
“They’re such a huge part of communities, football clubs, that the tier system now gives us hope, and I hope the government will now move forward with trial events and I can’t see a better industry equipped to deal with it.
“The amount of expense and the things we’ve put in place to deal with it, we now need the chance to do that."
