Graham Alexander admits everybody at Motherwell was overjoyed by Liam Grimshaw's winner as he's a 'fantastic' lad.
The 26-year-old completed a stunning second half comeback against Livingston to secure Motherwell's first league win of the season.
It was Grimshaw's first ever career goal and it arrived in his second game after recovering from a long-term illness as he contracted Glandular fever.
'Well boss Alexander insists he's a 'fantastic' lad and that feeling is shared amongst the Motherwell squad who celebrated wildly with Grimshaw.
"The goal meant everything to us all," Alexander admitted. "You could see the way the boys celebrated with him on the pitch. They are all over him in the dressing room.
"He’s a fantastic lad. We thought it would be his type of game today. We needed his energy and bite in midfielder. I’ll be honest, we didn’t expect him to come up with the winner.
"But he made a great run into the box off the blindside of his opponent and he gets his luck by getting into the right area. He is a fantastic lad and everyone loves him.
"It’s a great day for him. If we can get him three inches from the goal week in week out, he might have a chance to score more."

Grimshaw's 79th minute winner capped an excellent second half performance as they demonstrated their fighting spirit.
Tony Watt was the catalyst for the improvement and he equalised on 48 minutes after Alan Forrest fired Livingston ahead in the first-half despite a solid showing from the Steelmen.
Alexander heaped praised on his players for their fightback and he felt they were unfortunate to be behind at the interval.
He said: "We said at half-time we would have to go and show what we’re about. It is the ultimate test coming to Livingston and going 1-0 down.
"We had to make it happen and we started the second half on the front foot, got the equaliser and went on to score the winner.
"We were unfortunate to be behind at half-time. We had good spells in the first half. Their goal was a bolt out of the blue for us and we lost our discipline and shape after that.
"We reset at half-time and said to the boys there was a game for us to win – and we did it. Every credit to the players because I thought we deserved it over the 90 minutes."
