Boss Stephen Robinson says Motherwell have reached out to loanee goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson after he was told to self-isloate amid a coronavirus scare.
Ex-Airdrieonians shot-stopper Ferguson is on loan at Northern Irish league leaders Linfield, where a player has tested positive for the virus.
Robinson revealed that goalkeeping coach Craig Hinchcliffe has reached out to the 22-year-old.
"Our goalkeeping coach has spoke to Rohan and has stayed in touch with him ," said Robinson.
"Obviously that is a situation over there that they are managing separately.
"Rohan isn't involved with us and hasn't been for a long time now. It's not affecting us at this moment in time."
The Northern Irish FA released a statement earlier today noting they have set up a response group in response to the COVID-19 outbreak following Linfield's confirmation of the scare.
They said: "Through the response group we aim to offer a joint approach to ensure consistent and co-ordinated messaging to clubs, players, match officials, supporters, staff and other key stakeholders potentially affected by the escalation of the outbreak.
"Together with the Irish FA we will co-ordinate the game’s response to the challenges posed by the coronavirus outbreak in a responsible and planned manner. We will obviously update clubs and fans on any developments."
