Motherwell and Hamilton Accies fans pay emotional tribute to Phil O'Donnell

Motherwell and Hamilton Accies fans paid tribute to Phil O'Donnell to mark the 12th anniversary of the midfielder's untimely death.

The Fir Park club had arranged for a minute's applause to be be held in the 10th minute of the derby match, which Accies won 2-1, in honour of the number 10 shirt he wore with distinction for Motherwell.

Both sets of supporters stood in unison to pay tribute.

O'Donnell was recently inducted into the club's Hall of Fame.

Phil O'Donnell passed away on December 29, 2007, aged just 35.

Motherwell FC wrote on Twitter: 'Brave as a lion. RIP Phil O'Donnell.'
