Shoppers have been taking advantage of the Mothercare closing down sale which got underway at the Hermiston Gait Retail Park store this morning.
There are plenty of bargains to be had, with stock levels said to be high as warehouses are cleared. The retailer is known for its collection of prams, pushcahris, car seats, baby clothes, nursery furniture and toys.
Edinburgh Live told earlier this week that the shop would be closing its doors after the chain collapsed.
As reported in the Mirror, administrators PricewaterhouseCoppers say customers should expect to find a "huge range of discounts and bargains as all stock must go before stores are closed for the final time".
A spokesperson for Mothercare added: "This is a great opportunity for customers to pick up some amazing deals as everything is reduced.
"Demand will be high so don't wait to grab a fantastic deal, especially if you're Christmas shopping! We'd also like to thank our customers for their historic support of the Mothercare brand."
All 79 UK stores will be subject to a phased closure, with around 3000 jobs affected.
