A furious bride has revealed that her "monster mother-in-law" tried to "take her place" at the alter.
Paula shared the moment her big day was almost sabotaged on TikTok, where she's known as @hey_heypaula.
In a video that has been viewed more than 2.1 million times, Paula's mother-in-law can be seen attempting to stand between the couple as the marriage officiant read their vows.
"She was actually trying to take my spot," she wrote.
But if that wasn't bad enough, the woman was 'disrespectful' enough to wear all-white for the big day - which is considered taboo.
The second time the woman tried to muscle her way in on the happy couple, the minister was forced to step in, asking her to "back up."
"I felt her, the grim reaper on my back for the whole ceremony," Paula wrote.
Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 285,000 likes and 3,700 comments from viewers who were stunned by the woman's actions.
Whilst a few people said they were amazed at how Paula managed to bite her tongue, others were quick to point the finger at her husband.
One person said: "There's no way I would have stayed quiet. If me telling her to back up caused problems it would have been over then."
Another wrote: "And your spouse stood there and did nothing."
"That's on your husband to check his mother," added a third.
Whilst someone else put: "Honestly if my mother-in-law wore white to my wedding I will shut down the whole place saying we aren't getting married today and just walk away."
