Mother hands out 200 goodie bags on flight as apology in case her baby cries

A mother handed out 200 goodie bags to passengers on a long haul flight to apologise if her baby started to cry.

She was embarking on a 10-hour journey from Seoul to San Francisco when she handed out the care packs comprised of ear plugs and sweets.

There was also an adorable note written from the four-month-old child explaining the situation.

Passenger Dave Corona shared an image of the pack and the note.

This read: “Hello, I'm Junwoo and I'm four months old.

“Today, I am going to the US with my mom and grandmom to see my aunt. I'm a little bit nervous and scary because it's my first flight.

"I may cry or make too much noise. I will try to go quietly, though I can't make any promises. Please excuse me.

“So my mum prepared little goodie bag for you! It has some candies and earplugs. Please use them when it's too noisy because of me. Enjoy your trip. Thank you.”

Mr Corona, who wrote about the situation on LinkedIn, said it was “a very touching gesture by the mother but as you know when you have kids expect the unexpected”.

“Not a peep out of the kid,” he added.

The post sparked a debate on whether the mother had needed to make the gesture.

Some said it was “thoughtful” and called her a “hero”, while others said people should be more understanding of infants and it should not have been necessary.
