Mother and two children under 10 hit by a car during collision in Rochdale

A mother and her two children were hit by a car in an incident in Rochdale.

Police said they were called to Palatine Street this evening to reports of a collision involving a Ford Kuga and three pedestrians.

The pedestrians were a mother in her 40s and two children under the age of 10, GMP said.

They did not suffer serious injuries but one of the children was taken to hospital.

Officers said that the driver stopped at the scene, off Milnrow Road.

No arrests have been made, a GMP spokesman said.

He said: "Police were called at 5.30pm in relation to a road traffic collision on Palatine Street in Rochdale, involving one vehicle and three pedestrians."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
