Mother and son found dead in their Carmarthen home named by police

A man and a woman who died suddenly at a house in Carmarthen have been named.

Police were called to the property in the Aberwgili area of the town shortly after 6pm on Thursday night.

Inside they discovered the bodies of a man and a woman, who have been named as Gwendoline Christine Bound and John David Bound.

They were mother and son.

Next of kin have been informed of the deaths along with HM Coroner.

In a statement, the family said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John David Bound and Gwendoline Christine Bound.

“The family wish for their privacy to be respected in their time of grief.”

Dyfed-Powys Police cordoned off part of High Street in Abergwili on Thursday night, and maintained a presence outside the property on Friday.

They have confirmed they are investigating the deaths, which are currently being treated as “unexplained”.
