A murderer who went on the run for 16 years lived a life of luxury as a businessman and yacht captain.
Christopher Guest More, now 43, was today convicted of helping torture and kill Brian Waters, 44, at a cannabis farm in 2003. He also helped torture Suleman Razak.
Two days after the killing, the then undercover TV researcher flew from Liverpool to Spain with his girlfriend.
He later travelled to Africa on a fake passport, before settling in Malta, in 2007, Chester crown court heard.
Using the fake name Andrew Lamb, More worked on boats, lived in luxury homes, drove a Porsche and negotiated deals for an import firm.

At one point he even sent surveyors to Tangier after an invite from Morocco’s royal family.
Nigel Power, prosecuting, told the jury More must have “told lie after lie” to his girlfriend of 15 years, who did not even know he was on the run for murder.
Sarah Pengelly, of Cheshire Police, said the hunt for More was like “looking for a needle in a haystack”.

He was only caught thanks to cross-border help after he was put on Europe’s most wanted list, she added
More, was found guilty of murder and conspiracy to commit GBH at the farm in Tabley, near Knutsford, Cheshire.
He will be sentenced on Friday.
