INDORE: Submitting memorandum to district administration and symbolic keys of school to district education officer (DEO), majority of private state board schools in Indore division suspended online classes for a day as a mark of protest on Monday.
While Association of Unaided Private Schools, Madhya Pradesh, has decided not to conduct online classes for students for an indefinite period of time, in Indore, the classes remained suspended only for a day as a mark of protest.
"All private state board schools had suspended online classes. We are facing financial constraints owing to the non-payment of school fees by several parents. The recent government instructions have caused confusion among parents who ended up asking for more concessions and even misbehaving with staff at schools. We want schools to be reopened," the association vice-president Gopal Soni told TOI.
The association members submitted a memorandum regarding the same to collector urging him to reopen the schools in conventional manner.
"We gave a key as a symbol saying we are unable to run schools. We urged DEO Ravi Singh to give affiliation/ re-affiliation to schools conducting classes one to eight as it has been impending for two years now," said Indore private state board school owners association president Arun Kharat.
