Zoopla has provided a list of the most popular properties you can buy in Merseyside for £250,000 — and you'll be surprised by what you can get.

The average property price in Liverpool was most recently estimated at just over £187,000 — but if you're willing to spend a little more, you'll be able to find a selection of different properties from across the region's different boroughs.

Merseyside has a host of desirable suburbs, with fantastic transport links, plenty of nearby local businesses and green space.

From elaborate family homes with sprawling front and back gardens to tidy terrace houses, here are a few of the properties you can get for £250,000.
