Most Popular iRacing Tracks

iRacing has become the go-to game for die-hard sim racers. From the realistic FFB, a wide variety of cars, and the driving physics, to the numerous tracks available, iRacing is the king of sim racers for most people.

However, the game’s monetization is quite different. You have to buy the tracks in order to compete in events and races on them. Additionally, you should only buy tracks that have frequent races on them, or you’d be just wasting your money.

So, if you are looking to build a track catalogue, then starting with the most popular tracks in iRacing is the best bet. As such, we decided to rank the most frequently run tracks in the game, ensuring that you get your moneý’s worth.

Daytona

Pretty much every track in this list has history and is generally quite popular in the motorsport world, and Daytona is no exception.

Both the road course and the oval are run quite frequently during a season in iRacing. For instance, the 2025 season has a total of 47 races in Daytona, making it a good buy.

On the other hand, Daytona is one of the most thrilling tracks in the game. You are going flat out most of the time, with some turns here and there. It makes for a great racing experience as you try to find slipstreams behind cars to overtake them. Generally, racing on ovals is quite exhilarating, and this is one of the best oval circuits in the world.

Le Mans

Le Mans is one of the most historic tracks in the world. We have seen the sheer rivalries between manufacturers in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. So, it makes sense that this is one of the most popular tracks in iRacing

There are multiple races during a season, including road car and formula events. Although Road Car events are more common. So, if you’re into GT or hypercar racing, this is one of the best tracks to add to your library.

Not to mention, racing at Le Mans never gets old, and the events there are usually quite competitive.

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

Laguna Seca is another fun road course that emphasizes precision. The track consists of a lot of small elevation changes that add another twist to the races.

Layout-wise, it’s not too technical, but races there can be very close. The track is also quite narrow, which leads to less overtaking. Winning on this track is all about mastering the corner entry and exits, as that’s where you will lose/gain time.

Apart from being a fun track, it is also quite active, with numerous events held year-round, so you will have plenty of races to get your money’s worth. Just in 2025, there are 40+ races announced.

Road America

Road America is known for its technical layout and twisty turns, which is why you see a lot of GT racing there. It’s considered one of the fastest tracks in the world, and the races there prove it.

Due to its popularity, Road America hosts numerous events in iRacing throughout the year, making it a great purchase. It’s also one of the first tracks I’d recommend playing if you are thinking of getting into GT racing.

It’s definitely not a beginner-friendly track, but one that takes skill and mastery to conquer.

Sebring

Sebring is another frequent runner in iRacing, making it a great purchase. It’s mainly popular for the GT category, but there are some LMP2 events as well.

Much like Road America, Sebring is also considered a difficult track for the same reasons. It’s got a mix of small twisty and fast flowing turns, which makes for great competition. Max Verstappen’s last-to-first race on this track in iRacing is one of my favorite videos of the game.

Overall, Sebring is one of the most popular tracks in iRacing and a must-buy.

Monza

Monza, the home of the tifosi, is one of the most historic tracks in the world. Of course, it’s also up there in popularity even outside iRacing. A lot of the motorsports leagues race there.

Monza is known for being a fast-flowing circuit; it’s the test grounds of Ferrari, so you know it’s a well-designed track. In iRacing, the track is considered very popular, and there are many races throughout the calendar that you can take part in.

Monza is all about straight-line speed, which is why a lot of players like low downforce setups on this track. There are corners and chicanes to slow you down, but mostly it’s all about keeping up the pace in the straights and fast corners.

Watkins Glen

Watkins Glen is an iRacing staple. A lot of iRacing players consider this their favorite track, and rightly so. Watkins Glen is a very fast track filled with sweeping banked turns that test the grip of your car.

There are a few chicanes, like the infamous Bus Stop chicane, that will take you out if you are not careful. The rest of the track follows a beautiful, fast-flowing rhythm. This track requires a lot of confidence from drivers in order to get a good lap time. Qualifying on this track is always thrilling, with how close the competition always is.

If you are playing iRacing, this track is a must-have; it’s one of the most popular and frequently run tracks in the game.

Road Atlanta

All the rest of the tracks are quite close to each other in popularity, so you can swap them and the list would still make sense. Road Atlanta is an American track that has become a staple in iRacing.

Road Atlanta is known for its sheer technicality. The track is filled with elevation changes, which makes a lot of corners blind corners. This makes it hard to get a good lap in if you are new. But, it’s also the reason why there are a lot of races on this track in iRacing—sim racers love challenges, and this track is a challenge.

Nürburgring Nordschleife

Nurburgring was once considered one of the most dangerous tracks in the world, and it still is to some degree. Because of that, it’s the go-to track for most races in iRacing. No matter which class you are in, you are bound to find a lot of Nurburgring events across both main courses. Nordschleife is the most popular, but you will find events on the other courses too.

If you only want to buy a couple of tracks, then Nurburgring should be one of them. You will easily get all your money’s worth and the excitement of driving around the ring. Let me tell you, though, this track is nasty for beginners; you will crash a lot, so practice a lot before hopping into an event.

Spa

Spa is my favorite track, and I am glad to say that it’s the most popular track in iRacing. But, even outside of the game, Spa is historic and iconic with F1, IMSA, IndyCar, and many other categories racing there every year. And, all the races are exciting and fun to watch. There is also the 24 Hours of Spa, which is also something motorsport fans look forward to every year.

Apart from that, Spa as a track is one of the best. I have had the most fun racing at Spa than any other track, and while that doesn’t apply to everyone, I think it’s worth mentioning. Eau Rouge and Radillion are two of the most iconic corners in the world, and seeing cars zoom by on them is just pure thrill.

In short, Spa is firstly the most popular track in the game, but also one of the most fun places you can race on, making it a must-buy.
