'Most humble guy' - Manchester United star Casemiro praised for exchange with Jackson Irvine

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been praised by fans for his humble attitude after a heartwarming conversation with St Pauli and Australia international Jackson Irvine.

The two midfielders met at February's FIFPRO World 11 event where Casemiro was named in the men's world XI team. Backstage at the ceremony, the United man posed for a photo with Irvine.

After the picture was taken, Casemiro asked Irvine if he played for Australia which the 30-year-old confirmed. Before leaving the room, the Brazilian smiled and said: "I see you," before thanking Irvine for his time.

Once United's star man had departed, a delighted Irvine pretended to faint and was clearly taken aback by Casemiro recognising him. The former Hull City and Burton Albion man claimed that he was left sweating after meeting one of his idols.

In the comments section of the video, several supporters praised Casemiro for his modesty during the exchange. Here is what some people had to say on Instagram.

Andriux24: Love how humble Latin American people (Casemiro) usually are. Nice video.

Rafekabir1: Casemiro beast in the field. But the most humble guy when it comes out of the field.

Ancestralmathematics: “I see you” is probably the best compliment any human can receive.

Navarreteluis289: Being recognized by the best midfielder in the world, must be amazing! Cool video.

Casemiro will be available for selection again on Thursday against Sevilla after serving a four match suspension for picking up his second red card of the campaign.
