Most expensive place to go for Christmas dinner in Liverpool

Christmas is such a busy year - there's presents to wrap, cards to write and the Christmas dinner to cook.

But what if you didn't have to do the serving up this year?

Lots of people prefer to let someone else do the cooking for a change and with no plates to wash and for the chance to be waited on all day, it's no surprise that a growing number of families choose to eat out at Christmas.

Although this does sound ideal, it can costing a fortune.

But where is the most expensive place to eat on Christmas Day?

The Titanic Hotel are offering lunch on December 25 for £100 a head at Stanley's Bar and Grill.

This includes a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne on arrival followed by a delicious four-course Christmas lunch with a choice of the traditional roast turkey dinner, pork wellington, smoked haddock, beetroot and shallot tarte tatin or grilled whole sole.

The hotel offers "an enchanting Christmas feel with unique Christmas décor, festive music and a magical Christmas experience".

If you've got kids then you'll pay £60 for a half portion of the adults menu.

Close contenders for the most lavish Christmas blow out include The Shankly Hotel (£80 per adult) and the 30 James Street Hotel (£79 per adult). You can read more about which restaurants are open on Christmas Day here.
