Most child-friendly airlines including easyJet, TUI and Ryanair

Travelling with kids can be difficult and deciding which airline to travel with can be a huge thing for parents.

Small things that airlines do, such as in-flight entertainment and low-costs for kid's seats, can go a long way when it comes to choosing a flight. Now, the best airlines to travel with if you have children in tow have been revealed.

British Airways has been named the friendliest airline in the UK for children, in new rankings that also include easyJet, TUI and Ryanair. A study of 24 airlines and their policies has concluded that the UK's flag carrier comes out on top for how it treats younger passengers, in joint first place with Qatar Airways, Emirates, Qantas and Virgin Atlantic, reported The Mirror.

All 24 of the airlines studied allowed pushchairs to be taken on board for free. Most of the aviation companies also offer kids’ entertainment such as appropriate movies or colouring pens and paper.

However, parents flying with Flybe, Jet2 or Ryanair are in for a disappointment, with all three failing to provide entertainment for the little ones. Instead, Ryanair and Jet2 make some points up by offering free kids’ meals.

Parents flying with Etihad Airlines, Lufthansa and Jet2 could also be disappointed by having to pay more for travelling with kids. These, along with 15 other airlines, all charge extra for a child's seat.
