Morton target Motherwell keeper in emergency loan for Airdrie clash

Morton hope to agree an emergency loan deal for Motherwell goalkeeper Scott Fox ahead of their Championship play-off final first leg clash at Airdrie tomorrow.

The Championship club's keeper Aidan McAdams is out of the two-legged showdown against the Diamonds after having injured his hamstring in the semi-final against Montrose, according to Greenock Telegraph.

McAdams won the Cappielow club's player of the year awards just over a fortnight ago.

Fox is on the Greenock club's wanted list, having gone through the entire season without playing at Fir Park due to an ACL injury sustained in pre-season, though he was on the bench for the last two games against Dundee United and Ross County.

The North Lanarkshire club may be reluctant to let Fox go out on loan, however, given his injury situation.
