Morton Fraser hires three construction specialists from same rival company

Law firm Morton Fraser has hired a new partner and two associates to its specialist construction team.

Sandra Cassels joins the firm as a partner from BTO in Edinburgh, where she has been since 2013 having previously been a partner at Burness Paull.

Law firm names David Gibson as chairman and hires its first chief operating officer  

Julie Scott-Gilroy becomes an associate, having been at BTO since 2014 and Caroline Earnshaw also joins as an associate from BTO, where she has worked since 2013.

Jonathan Seddon, who heads Morton Fraser's construction team, said: "Sandra, Julie and Caroline are all talented and experienced construction law specialists with great reputations in the market.

"They will add significantly to the strength in depth of our team. The roster of truly independent Scottish firms is dwindling, and our focus on talent is setting us apart.”

Morton Fraser , which has offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, has enjoyed 60% revenue growth in the last five years and 11% in the last 12 months. They come less than a month after Alan Stewart arrived as partner from Dentons in the wider Commercial Real Estate team which now numbers 64 people.
