Mortified woman nearly 'loses finger' as acrylic nail gets stuck in toilet

A woman is thankful not to have lost her finger after she accidentally lodged her false acrylic nail into the toilet.

Manuela Ferrario claims she almost lost the digit after she stumbled while flushing the toilet.

Despite taking extra care with her fresh manicure, Manuela, 26, found herself stuck onto the appliance after the accidental fall.

Documenting the whole ordeal on Instagram, the woman's post has racked up 3.8 million views and over 66,000 likes to date.

Manuela, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, can be seen with the cistern attached firmly to her hand, as she giggles while a man helps to break her free.

Her finger, which is wedged in the dual flush, requires pliers and various other tools to help loosen the situation.

Someone in the background can be heard saying: "If it doesn't come out, we'll cut off the finger – what do you think?"

Shortly after a bit of work from people nearby, Manuela's hand managed to be freed from the hefty appliance - but her finger was still caught.

Thankfully, with the help of soap and hot water, the flush loosened and her finger was able to be freed.

She captioned the video: "POV: You do your nails and you don't want them to break."

Flocking to the comment section to share their reaction, several Instagram users shared their own shocking tales.

One person commented: "It happened to me but I saved myself quickly with the help of my dad."

"The same thing happened to me, they broke the button with a hot knife and it took four people," someone else said.

A third wrote: "By physics, if it goes in easy, it comes out easy too."

"It's because of these accidents that girls accompany each other to bathrooms, end of the mystery!" added one user.

A fifth penned: "She almost lost her finger, but at least the nail was still intact."
