Mortified Scots mum left with hilarious school photo after son pulls face while posing with sister

A Scots mum has shared the hilarious results of her children's school photo after her son pulled a face because he had to pose with his sister.

Cheryl Johnstone's son Mason, 10, and daughter Amelia, seven, posed for their family school picture last week.

But when 32-year-old Cheryl received the proofs she was left in hysterics at the face her son was pulling.

Cheryl says Mason "absolutely hates" having his picture taken - especially with his sister.

The schoolboy also has ADHD and he is not keen on touching other people but the school photographer had him posing with his hand on his sister's shoulder, which led to his hilarious face-pulling.

The Ayrshire mum-of-two said: "I couldn't stop laughing when I seen it. He looks like a serial killer."

Cheryl says even when the photographer tried to get a different picture, Mason had already had enough.

"He was not happy at first he said 'I hate getting my picture took with her', talking about Amelia.

The photographer did ask them if they wanted to try again after seeing the picture but Mason said nope," she laughed.

The mum says the photo disaster didn't end there because Amelia's hair had originally been in pigtails for the picture when she left the house in the morning, but even those had vanished.

She said: "God knows what's happened to her hair as it was in high bunches in the picture."

Thankfully both Mason and Amelia saw the funny side once the proofs were sent through.

Cheryl added: "Even Mason saw the funny side and Amelia thought it was funny too. It's definitely one for their 18th."

Cheryl's picture gained lots of comments when she shared it on social media from other parents who were left in stitches at the pose.

One said: "omg this is the best school photo ever."

Another said: "I'm crying laughing,"

"That is the best school photo I have ever seen," said another.

Another woman said: "I didn’t notice her hair, he on the other hand looks brilliantly menacing! Please tell me you got the original. Such a contrast - if he’s into music album cover right there!"

Another joked: "Coming soon to a crime watch commercial near you."

While another thought he looked like a protective big brother.

She said: "Looks like his warning away anyone from his sister."

"This is soooo funny! Best school photo ever!" said another.
