Mortified Lee Ryan is sent on a date with his ex on Celebs Go Dating

Celebs Go Dating is supposed to be a chance for famous faces to meet new people they wouldn't normally mingle with.

So imagine Lee Ryan's surprise when he gets set up on a date with one of his exes in tonight's episode.

The dating agents show the Blue singer, 36, a picture of Amie, 28, a fashion buyer from Uxbridge.

And while his mate Jack Fincham quickly approves of the "peng" match, Lee is lost for words.

He says: "That’s my ex girlfriend! I can’t believe this, out of all the single women in the country they've managed to set me up with one of my exes. Thanks!"

Agents Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Bronson admit that it wasn't intentional because they had no clue Amie was his ex.

But Anna thinks their date could be useful.

She tells the camera: "So dating an ex wasn't part of the plan but it could be a good way of understanding where he's gone wrong in relationships in the past.

"You never know, he could rekindle an old flame!"

But Lee says he'll "make no promises" that there will still be a connection there.

Anna tells him: "Let’s not run before we’re walking, it’s just a date."

In tonight's episode viewers will also see Jack receive the lowest rating ever for a date on the show.

He had previously gone on a date with agency-found Chloe, which ended in them snogging.

But Jack shot her feelings to shreds on their second date when he cruelly told her, "we shouldn't kiss each other, I don't think", prompting Chloe to storm out.
