Holly Willoughby was mortified after being branded "common" by her This Morning boss live on air.
And it was all sparked by an admission the TV host made about how she likes to drink wine in the summer.
As he teased a segment on Monday's show whic involved him and Holly try out some rose wines, co-host Phillip Schofield asked Holly if she liked to put ice cube in her wine.
She replied "I do.. I I'm sitting outside with glass of white, or rose actually, I will. Is that really bad."
A shocked Phil then remarked: "Ooh our editor's just said..." before Holly interjected: "Our editor has just said something outrageous in my ear!"
Revealing what was said, Phillip added: "Our editor has just shouted out common...good heavens!"
A forgiving Holly responded: "I get it though as it's supposed to dilute the wine and yada yada yada but I like really cold white or rose wine."
Holly and Phillip then threw open the discussion to viewers at home, asking if 'wine on the rocks' was the perfect summer drink or ultimate sacrilege?
One swiftly reacted: "Drink it however you like it’s your choice. However calling people common for putting ice in a drink it’s rather rude and snobbish," and, in agreement, another tweeted: "Yes I love ice cubes in it it’s lush!"
But, in agreement with Holly's boss, another posted: "No no and no! It waters it down!"
