Morrissey at Vicar Street: How to get there, stage times, tickets, and setlist

Morrissey is set to rock Vicar Street as part of two back to back gigs at the Dublin venue this weekend.

The 64-year-old English singer-songwriter has enjoyed a successful career and this year marks 40 years in the music industry. On Saturday 15 July and Sunday 16 July, Morrissey will take to the stage at Vicar Street.

He was previously the frontman and main lyricist for 80s rock back The Smiths. Morrissey's best known songs with The Smiths includes 'How Soon is Now', Big Mouth Strikes Again', and 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.'

Morrissey has also had a massively successful solo career, with hits including 'Sudehead' and 'Everyday Is Like Sunday', and his recent album 'I Am Not A Dog on a Chain' came out in 2020. How to get to Vicar Street

There are plenty of public transport options available if you're heading to Christy Moore's gig at Vicar Street on Monday. Vicar Street is located on Thomas Street in The Liberties, Dublin 8.

Dublin Bus

The main Dublin Bus routes that can get you to Vicar Street include the 13 and the 123 where the venue is less than a minutes walk away.

Luas

The nearest Luas stop to the venue is The Four Courts and then a ten minute walk to Vicar Street.

Car parking

There are several car parks near Vicar Street on Thomas Street that you can park your car in on the night. These include;

  • Thomas Street €6 for 2 hours with 178 spaces (5mins from Vicar Street)
  • Christchurch multi-storey car park €9.20 for 2 hours with 213 spaces (13mins from Vicar Street)
  • Four Courts carpark €7.40 for 2 hours with 385 spaces (7mins from Vicar Street)
  • Smithfield Market €7.20 for 2 hours with 350 spaces (19mins from Vicar Street)

Tickets

According to Ticketmaster, there is limited availability for Morrissey tickets at Vicar Street this weekend. Tickets went on sale for €81 from 6 April.

But resale tickets may also pop up on Ticketmaster between now and the gigs on Saturday and Sunday, so Morrissey fans should keep an eye out for any that pop up.

Doors open and stage times

According to Aiken Promotions, doors open at Vicar Street for Morrissey's two gigs open from 6:30pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July. Morrissey himself is expected to take to the stage around 8pm.

Setlist

Morrissey recently performed at Portsmouth Guildhall, Portsmouth, in England on July 8. Here is a list of songs he sang on the night that he may perform at Vicar Street:
