Morrisons has unveiled its own range of sustainable household cleaning products in stores across Scotland this week.
The supermarkets own brand - Morrisons Eco - features a variety of 12 products which provide shoppers with more environmentally-friendly alternatives to clean their home.
Not only are the products good for the environment, but they are also budget friendly with prices starting at just £1, which is a fraction of other brands.
Included in the new range will be a variety of products such as anti-bacterial spray, floor cleaner, toilet cleaner, laundry liquid, sponges and kitchen roll.
Every product is made from plant-based ingredients and comes in a packaging that shoppers can recycle at home.
James Crabtree, Senior Household Buying Manager at Morrisons, says: “We believe that powerful cleaning doesn’t have to cost the earth - and we mean that both figuratively and literally.
"We’ve seen a boom in the popularity of more environmentally friendly products and we know our customers want to shop more sustainably.
"We’re excited to be able to provide them with an even bigger variety of cleaning products - that look and smell great - to pick up as part of their weekly shop, without breaking the bank.”
Research has suggested that more and more shoppers these days are looking to purchase household products that are less harmful to the environment, which is why the supermarket has launched the new range.
The new Morrisons Eco cleaning range follows a trend in sustainable cleaning products, as Tesco also recently launched their own refillable line of cleaning products to help combat plastic waste.
