Morrisons slash the price of 1 kilo jars of Nutella - and it's ridiculously cheap

Morrisons is now selling 1kg jars of Nutella for a ridiculously cheap price.

The supermarket giant has slashed the price of the popular chocolate spread to £4 - giving shoppers 25% savings off the normal £5.70 price.

Shoppers can take advantage of the discounts on the sweet hazelnut spread while stocks last in stores nationwide and online from groceries.morrisons.com.

The longtime family store cupboard item has grown to become a staple for many households, whether you love it on toast or prefer to eat it straight out of the jar - and with a jar sold every 2.5 seconds globally, we doubt this offer will be around for long.

The deal makes Morrisons one of the cheapest places to buy the giant-sized spread for fans to stock up at as rival chains Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's are selling jars of the same size for £5.70.

Earlier this year discount retailer Aldi ran a similar promotion, offering 1KG jars of the spread for £3.99 as part of its limited Specialbuys offer.

High street retailer Debenhams went one better, by selling 1KG jars for just £1.50. One savvy shopper spotted the deal and shared it on a money-saving forum online, writing "This was from Chelmsford store. Plenty left. It was in with the last of the Christmas stock, so obviously trying to clear it."

Last year rival budget chain Lidl also slashed the price of giant chocolate-hazelnut spread, at the time forcing competitor Tesco to join the action and also reduce its prices.
