Morrisons serves up tennis treat with smash-hit Wimbledon special box

Supermarket chain Morrisons is making it easy for shoppers to get in the mood for Wimbledon - even though fewer spectators allowed to sit on centre court this year.

With Covid regulations restricting crowds until the final stages of the world's top tennis tournament at the All-England Club, the grocery chain has put together a set of essentials for those who spend hours watching their favourites on court.

For a limited time only, online customers can purchase The Tennis Treats Box which contains everything they need to serve up an ace Wimbledon party.

It contains typically British refreshments including Pimms, strawberries, cream and Robinson’s squashes. What’s more, customers will receive a complimentary water bottle and tournament chart courtesy to track the matches.

For a complete hassle-free experience customers will get a text message in the morning with an hour delivery slot, so they know exactly when to expect the goodies.

There are differences for spectators and players.

All competitors must stay in a designated hotel and only travel to the tournament site. Players will be told not to sign autographs or take photos with fans, and everyone must wear masks while walking around the grounds.

Spectator capacity starts at 50 per cent, building up to 100 per cent by the end of the fortnight.
