With the approach of the Christmas party season, Morrisons in entering into the spirit of goodwill extra-early with a money-saving offer on a popular tipple.
A 500ml bottle of Tequila Rose is on sale in its stores nationwide for just £10 - £2 off the RRP - but shoppers will have to be quick as the deal lasts only until Sunday, November 24.
Since hitting the market as far back as 1994, the strawberry cream Tequila Rose - which is blended with a splash of premium tequila and real dairy cream - has become hugely popular as a liqueur to share.
But - in a variation on its being served as a shot over ice - its makers have suggested using it in a cocktail which could well turn it into the perfect party drink.
To make the cocktail, the company suggests layering 15ml of a coffee liqueur over a 25ml measure of Tequila Rose and, as a finishing touch, topping off the combination with a strawberry-flavour Oreo biscuit.
