Morrisons is selling a ghost chilli pizza – but you'll have to be brave enough to try it because it is thought to be 200 times hotter than a jalapeño.
Some slices in Morrisons' new trick or treat pizza contain a very spicy surprise, the retailer has confirmed, as we head towards a spooky annual holiday.
Morrisons has launched a 'Roulette-style' trick or treat style pizza – just in time for Hallowe'en.
The supermarket giant operates multiple stores across Ayrshire.
The 10" trick or treat pizza carries fiery heat of ghost chilli, the seventh hottest chilli in the world.
It measures over one million units on the Scoville heat scale – 200 times spicier than Tabasco sauce.
And as well as an array of ghost-chilli topped slices, there's also one extra fiery 'Devils' slice – filled with Scotch bonnet chillies that measure between 100,000 to 350,000 on the scale.
In fact, the chilli heat is apparently so ‘hellish’ that the pizza comes with a warning label.
All other slices hidden amongst the ‘roulette wheel’ are covered with slightly cooler tangy ingredients, including jalapeño pepperoni and spicy chicken and cheese, with some slices hot and some not.
Shezad Mahmood, pizza buyer at Morrisons, said: “The aim is to give customers the ultimate trick or treat. The question is will our customers be prepared to roll the dice and face heaven or hell in a slice?”
The £3 pizza – or two for £5 – is 10” and is available from all Morrisons pizza counters across the country from today, but only until Monday, November 11.
