Morrisons launch vegan ‘pulled pork’ pizza that's £15 CHEAPER than Pizza Hut version

Morrisons are answering its vegan customer's prayers with the launch of a brand new pizza made with jackfruit.

Shoppers will be able to head to their nearest Morrisons store to pick up the new dish, which is topped with vegan ingredient of the moment - jackfruit.

The plant-based topping is tipped as a great alternative to meat due to its juicy, tender texture which is shredded giving it a striking resemblance to the texture of pulled pork.

The 14" thin crust base pizza is then finished off with a generous handful of Violife cheese, which Morrisons claim has been "carefully chosen for its convincing ‘cheesy’ melt".

Morrisons Pizza Buyer, Charlotte Shores said: “This has surprised meat-eaters and vegans with how close it tastes to its meatier counterpart. We hope that all our customers enjoy this amazing vegan pizza.”

At £4 it's the perfect wallet-friendly lunch or dinner option - and a whopping £15 cheaper than takeaway chain Pizza Hut's own vegan jackfruit pizza.

The Jack N Cheese fast food version, which launched earlier this year as part of Pizza Hut's full vegan menu , also features BBQ jackfruit and Violife cheese, peppers, red onions, sweetcorn and even more BBQ sauce.

The cost of the 14" Pizza Hut version comes in at a pricey £19.75, so if you're looking for a cheap eat Morrisons wins hands down.
