Supermarket Morrisons is launching a three-course Christmas dinner in their cafés for parties of up to 20 people for the first time.
The meal, which will cost £7.50 per person, will feature a turkey dinner with all the trimmings as well as veggie and vegan options.
The Christmas Meal Deal, as it has been dubbed, includes soup, prawn cocktail or paté and melba toast to start as well as salmon or mushroom wellington alternatives for the main course.
And no Christmas meal is complete without a a Christmas pudding to finish.
Tables for up to 20 guests can be booked between Monday 25th November and Monday 23rd December.
The Christmas offer is in response to research which shows workers are expecting cut backs to their work Christmas parties with one in twenty people, of the 1000 surveyed, expecting it to be cancelled altogether. This is due to tough trading conditions, economic uncertainty and fragile confidence.
Helen Tordoff, Head of Cafes at Morrisons said: “Some small businesses have had a tough year so we have created the best Christmas meal for those on a budget. And as our cafés regularly host group meet ups, we thought we’d extend the invite to local companies so they can save some Christmas costs. It will mean that more people can get into the party spirit without breaking the bank.”
