A food box packed with enough vegan items to feed two people for a week is being launched by Morrisons in response to customer demand.
The store says it has come up with its new Vegan Essentials Food Box in response to requests from shoppers during lockdown.
And the box, which is fllled with 23 meat-free essentials including soya milk and fresh vegetables, costs £35 and is available for next-day delivery.
Veganism can prove a pretty expensive lifestyle choice and for many wanting to follow a non-meat diet it can be a struggle at the best of times to find a wide range of products.
The new arrival contains the likes of meat-free mince and sausages, a mix of fresh fruit, lentils, jackfruit, couscous and dairy-free cheese.
It's the latest in a range of food boxes on offer at Morrisons which also include gluten-free options and a British Farmers Food Box.
Tessa Callaghan, of Morrisons said: “ Many of our vegan customers have got in touch to ask whether we could create a food box for them.
"We’ve sourced some of the best vegan food for this food box."
The store expects the new buy to be of great help to vegans who are currently classed as vulnerable or are in self-isolation and added: "The box will feed two people for a week".
