Morrisons launch new hot food-to-go service in all 402 of its Cafés nationwide

Supermarket giant Morrisons has announced it is opening a new hot food-to-go takeaway service.

Shoppers will now be able to visit the chain's 402 Cafés nationwide and pick up a wide selection of takeaway favourites. Shoppers can visit my.morrisons.com/storefinder to check details for their local branch.

The affordable meals are prepared on site and will be priced from £1.95. Whether you want a bacon buttie for breakfast or a quick and tasty option for dinner, the chain will offer takeaway options throughout the day.

Making an appearance on the takeaway menu is Morrisons' bestselling fish and chips, which will be on sale for £10 for two portions .

Speaking about the launch, Marianne Jones, Head of Café Operations at Morrisons, said: “Our customers love our cafes. Some dine with us a number of times a week and many have told us they’ve been waiting for their return. So we’ve been working behind the scenes to bring back some of our most popular dishes at great prices as we continue to feed the nation.”

While social distancing measures are in place, shoppers can order their takeaway by calling Morrisons national takeaway hotline number 0330 808 9733.

Customers can then select their nearest store they want to collect their order from and one of the store’s Café team process the order ready for collection.

Shoppers can also visit the Cafe when in store to place their order.

All meals will be ready for collection within half an hour of the order being placed and Deliveroo is also available in some locations.

The chain has also launched a number of food boxes online that are ideal for those who want to recreate popular takeaway dishes at home.

The latest 'fakeaway' selection includes enough food for eight complete meals - but at a fraction of the cost you’d expect to pay at a high-street chain.

Prices cost £30, which works out at £3.75 a meal.
