Morrisons Kilmarnock resurfacing works will impact users of store car park

A large section of the car park at Morrisons Kilmarnock is closed off today.

Resurfacing work is being carried out at the West Langlands Street store and people who use the car park will be impacted.

The section out of bounds is to the right of the store as you come out of the main entrance.

Fences have been erected and signs advise that the area is closed. Works traffic can be seen operating in the area.

Motorists are being informed that the maximum stay at the car park is three hours.

A sign on the approach to the petrol station reads: "Sorry for the inconvenience. Sections of the car park closed due to resurfacing works. Maximum stay three hours.

"Thank you for your patience."

Morrisons Kilmarnock is undergoing a summer makeover with a grand re-opening planned for Thursday, October 17.

Speaking about the refurbishment in the Kilmarnock Standard, store manager Gerry Rooney said: Morrisons is going through a whole revamp with its stores, so this re-fit will bring the Kilmarnock store right up to date.

"It's great for Kilmarnock and great for the town centre."
