Morrisons issues urgent scam warning over 'suspicious' messages

Shoppers have been warned to stay vigilant after a new supermarket scam emerged.

Posting a warning on its website, Morrisons revealed how a number of spam emails, text messages and social media posts from third parties posing as the supermarket had been doing the rounds 'for the purpose of fraudulent activity.'

The fake messages in question have been offering innocent shoppers £40 worth of vouchers - allowing scammers to harvest personal details.

The warning shared by Morrisons read: "We are aware of a number of spam emails, text messages and social media posts from third-parties posing as Morrisons for the purpose of fraudulent activity.
