Morrisons issues urgent food recall of iced buns over allergy fears

Sweet toothed fans of iced buns have been warned about a possible health risk concerning a product sold by Morrisons.

The supermarket giant is recalling its Morrisons 6 Iced Buns packs because they contain milk which is not emphasised in bold type on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and it concerns all 'best before' date packs.

As well as recalling the buns, Morrisons has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

This notice explains to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you are a Morrisons customer and have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, you are advised not to eat it.

Instead you can return it to the store from where it was bought and you will get a full refund.
