Morrisons is selling pineapple-flavoured Jaffa Cakes and they sound delicious

There's no denying it: we're a nation of cake lovers - so it's no wonder that Jaffa Cakes have been a British household staple for decades.

And now the zesty snack is about to get a whole lot better, as McVitie's has launched a pineapple-flavoured version of the popular treat.

The new addition to the Jaffa Cake range comes in pack of 10 and is currently sold for £1 at Morrisons supermarkets and online at morrisons.com.

Originally spotted by a member of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, it looks just like the original Jaffa Cake but is made with a pineapple-flavoured filling instead of orange.

What's more, each biscuit-shaped cake is only 46 calories - making it the ultimate guilt-free treat.

Whether you nibble at yours slowly or eat it in two bites, we can tell these are going to be your new favourite at teatime.

We've had a look around and Morrisons seems to be the only supermarket selling the pineapple Jaffa Cakes in stores and online.

However, the new tropical flavour is also available in a cake bar version that's sold at Tesco supermarkets and tesco.com. The Jaffa Cake Pineapple Cake Bars come in a pack of five and are currently on offer for £0.65 - down from £1.45.

If you want to stock up on the original Jaffa Cakes, Tesco is selling a triple pack containing 30 cakes for £2.50, while Iceland sells a twin pack for £1.

Meanwhile, - but only from one retailer.
