Jaffa Cake fans are in for a real treat this summer thanks to a new frozen-inspired product that’s now on the shelves at Morrisons.
The supermarket is selling Jaffa Chocolate & Orange Lollies and they’re the perfect way to keep cool this summer.
The five-pack frozen treat is inspired by the iconic Jaffa Cakes and only costs £1.
Each ice lolly contains chocolate flavoured ice cream with orange jelly and a chocolate flavour coating.
And at just 99 calories per lolly, they’ll make a nice treat for anyone watching their waistline - although they are a wee bit high in saturated fat (4.5g) and sugar (11g).
They also contain no artificial colours or flavours and are suitable for vegetarians.
Morrisons customers have given the Jaffa Chocolate & Orange Lollies several five-star reviews so far and plenty of praise.
One shopper recently posted: “Total value for money. The orange jelly is the star and product developers should look at extending its use to a bulk product, small tubs (so that the consistency could be retained) with or without chocolate would be a hit and other citrus flavours could be used, I at least would be very happy.”
Another happy customer said: “The orange part is very tangy but the chocolate ice cream is very nice. Can’t go wrong for a quid.”
And another commented: “The inside has a strange, jelly like consistency, but the zingy, Jaffa taste is very nice. Will buy again as they are very reasonably priced.”
