Morrisons is selling chocolate orange cheese this Christmas

We thought we’d reached the pinnacle of cheese hybrids in 2018 when Ocado released a mint chocolate chip cheese for the Christmas period – but Morrisons has released an extra festive hybrid this year.

The supermarket has announced it will be selling a Wensleydale and orange chocolate cheese for Christmas this year, after commissioning cheesemakers Singletons & Co to create the recipe.

The cheese is available exclusively at Morrisons and retails for £10 for a kilo.

Made of creamy and crumbly Wensleydale, the cheese has been combined with candied orange pieces and dotted with milk and dark chocolate chips.

Morrisons said in a statement: "Tis the season to indulge and this cheese is a truly indulgent festive treat.

“The recipe is bespoke for Morrisons, Singletons & Co worked closely with the Morrisons cheese buyers to create a unique Christmas flavoured cheese, blending their favourite Christmas ingredients and hand crafting the cheese using Singletons & Co extensive cheese making knowledge.”

Morrisons Singletons & Co Wensleydale and Chocolate Orange Cheese is available in stores now for £10 for 1kg.
