Sausage rolls are no longer a treat exclusively for the meat-eaters among us.
Vegan sausage rolls are popping up left, right and centre ever since Greggs launched their famous version at the start of this year.
Plenty of stores have followed the bakery chain and released their own meat-free version of the British pastry, but they've all been standard sized - until now.
Morrisons has taken the savoury snack a step further and released a foot-long vegan sausage roll, say WalesOnline .
Weighing a whopping 466g, the massive plant-based pastry treat is double the length of some high street versions and nearly four times the weight.
And the best bit? It costs just £1.
It follows the supermarket's original foot-long sausage roll, which launched in 2017.
Steven Halford, who's a pie expert at Morrisons, said: “Our original foot-long sausage roll caught the imagination of the nation so we’ve worked hard to make sure everyone – including vegans - can now tuck into our creation.
He added: "Sharing is optional."
Available to buy now, the vegan foot-long replaces Morrisons traditional sausage-meat with a "convincing" seasoned soya mince and is expertly blended with a mix of herbs and spices then wrapped in a crisp, golden flaky pastry to give customers the ultimate sausage roll experience.
Freshly baked in-store by Morrisons Market Street bakers, the massive vegan roll is available to buy hot from Morrisons Pie Counters and is so heavy it even needs to have its own tray to take away.
The mammoth roll is the brainchild of Morrisons pie and pastry experts who wanted to go one step further following the success of their vegan ‘no sausage’ roll and vegan ‘Corn-ish’ pasty earlier this year.
