Morrisons had no record of mum's £200 shopping order after she waited days for delivery

A mum has criticised a major supermarket's communication as she was left waiting three days for a £200 shop delivery to arrive - only to be told there was no record of her order.

Mum-of-three Emma Haywood, of Radcliffe-on-Trent, ordered the food from the Morrisons store in Gamston on Sunday, September 27, and was told it would be delivered two days later.

However, the delivery never turned up when it was expected the following Tuesday evening, nor was it delivered on the next planned delivery slot on the Wednesday.

Ms Haywood, 39, called up to ask about her delivery on Thursday, October 1, and says she was then told the store had no record of her order.

Ms Haywood told Nottinghamshire Live: "It's been far from ideal - I have three children (aged five, four and one) and I had planned all the meals, everything around this shop.

"It's a massive inconvenience. And the lack of communication from Morrisons has been awful, if someone was self-isolating and this happened to them it would be a lot worse.

"I have just had to get all the leftovers from the house and use those this week just to get a decent meal for the kids, as I kept thinking the food was due to arrive."

Ms Haywood's delivery, which she says mostly contained food items, finally arrived after three missed delivery slots on Thursday, October 1.

She had contacted the supermarket to try and resolve the situation that morning.

After initially being told only her £1 delivery fee would be refunded, Ms Haywood has now received an £80 refund along with some chocolates and wine from the supermarket by way of an apology.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: "We delivered the shopping to the customer this morning [October 1] and are in touch to apologise."
