Morrisons has today launched a new food essential box and this time it is centred on feeding customers during this week's VE Day Bank Holiday.
Its food boxes have been popular during the coronavirus lockdown particularly with its most vulnerable and self-isolating customers.
Whereas its previous food boxes have focuses on daily essentials, its new BBQ Food Box which is priced at £35 focuses on everything you need if you're planning a bbq this weekend.
Online now, the box contains over £30 worth of BBQ food - including; 25 pieces of meat; eight meat-free portions; 12 bread rolls; seven packs of vegetables and salads; four marinades and dips; plus two boxes of sweets. It will comfortably feed a family of four adults, reports MirrorOnline.
Tessa Callaghan, head of food boxes at Morrisons said: "Many people are looking to get their BBQs out to celebrate - in a socially distanced way - this first May Bank Holiday.
"We want to play our full part in Feeding the Nation and we hope this BBQ food box will help more people to enjoy a sunny day."
Morrisons BBQ Food Box meat includes Morrisons The Best Scotch Beef Burgers and Thick Pork Sausages - all sourced from British farmers, along with meat-free Morrisons Cypriot Halloumi and Corn Cobbettes. All can be dressed with marinades and sauces contained within the box.
Sides include Morrisons bread rolls, baking potatoes, coleslaw and potato salad, houmous, cheese and fresh salad items.
To finish, there is Morrisons Market Street Brownie and Flapjack Mini Bites, which come in boxes of 24.
