Supermarket giant Morrisons is set to offer discount to all school staff as a way of saying thank you for their hard working during the pandemic.
As schools reopened earlier this year, teachers were ready to welcome children back to ensure key workers were able to continue working.
It is for this reason, Morrisons has decided to offer 10% discount to all staff working in a school including teachers, teaching assistants and cleaners.
The offer was confirmed by Morrisons on Twitter in a reply to a customer asking if the rumours were true.
In a tweet, Morrisons said: "The Ts and Cs state the following - Teachers just need to show their ID at the till and we will give them 10% off their shopping in store only. Hope this helps."
In a further tweet Morrisons confirmed the discount will be available all day everyday from Monday, November 2 until Sunday, January 3.
According to its website, the discount will apply to all teachers working in primary, secondary and private schools and all staff including teaching assistants, dinner and cleaning staff.
The discount can only be given in stores and not online. You can find your nearest Morrisons store here.
Customers were quick to praise Morrisons for launching the scheme. One user said: "Well this is wonderful news"
