Morrisons Cafe extends Eat Out To Help discounts to the whole week

Morrisons has announced it will reduce its cafe meal prices by 50 per cent for the entire week.

The supermarket is taking part in the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme which runs Monday to Wednesday throughout August and offers a half price discount on menu items.

However, Morrisons has now announced that it will help customers save money by extending the deal throughout the week, with the store funding the discount Thursday to Sunday.

It means Morrisons customers can enjoy breakfasts and coffees from just 50p all week.

Favourites such as a full English breakfast will cost £1.62, while freshly battered fish and chips are priced at just £2.25 and bangers and mash can be enjoyed for as little as £1.75.

These prices will be available throughout the week and also include the 15 per cent cut in VAT.

Lighter bites including jacket potatoes will now start from £1.50 with the chicken and avocado salad costing just £2.25. All side dishes will be included in the savings meaning customers can grab a bowl of chips or side of garlic bread for just 37p.

To help customers wash it all down, hot drinks will drop by more than 50 per cent meaning customers can pick up a barista-prepared coffee or a cup of Yorkshire Tea for just 50p.

To enable more families to eat out this August, Morrisons is also letting kids eat free all day.

Morrisons hopes the reduced prices will help budget-conscious families to enjoy a meal out.

Head of cafes at Morrisons, Ali Lyons, said: "We want as many customers as possible to be able to take advantage of Eat Out to Help Out. Many customers visit our stores later in the week, so we're extending this offer throughout the week so they can enjoy half price meals too."
