Morrisons at Cribbs Causeway 'will remain closed until April' after roof collapse

A supermarket at Cribbs Causeway will remain closed 'until early April' after a storm damaged its roof last month.

Bristol was hit by several major storms in February and the turbulent weather took its toll on the Morrisons branch in Lysander Road.

The store has been closed since February 29 as a structural engineer carried out an inspection of the roof.

Morrisons confirmed today (March 10) the store is likely to remain closed for another month yet.

A spokeswoman said: "Our Cribbs Causeway store is still closed and is likely to remain shut until early April.

"We are working hard to reopen it as quickly as we can and will share a confirmed date as soon as we have one.

"In the meantime we can confirm that the petrol station is open as usual."

The petrol station was reopened on March 2.
