Morrisons at Cribbs Causeway closed due to roof collapse

The Morrisons supermarket at Cribbs Causeway is closed while storm damage to its roof is being assessed.

The UK has been hit with wind and heavy rain throughout this month, and Bristol has been no exception.

The recent bad weather has caused damage to the store, meaning it is not safe to open.

The supermarket and the petrol station are both closed today (Saturday, February 29).

A Morrisons spokesperson said it is unclear when the shop will re-open.

She told Bristol Live: "We have been unable to open our Bristol Cribbs Causeway store today due to damage caused by the recent bad weather.

"A structural engineer is on site and we will be able to provide more information once they have finished their inspection."
